From humble beginnings mixing cocktails in their basements, Jeff and Matt grew their passion into a successful catering company: Clever Barkeep. Based in Nova Scotia, they dreamed of expanding with a space in Downtown Dartmouth for events and bartending classes. Then, the pandemic hit.

But they didn’t stop. Instead, they created Dear Friend Bar—an award-winning community hub where friends gather over cocktails and bites.
